 Contest information

 Theme overview Millennials by Millennials
You can submit your marketing plan in the STRATEGY Field, or your video/image content in the CREATIVE Field, both on the theme of “Millennials by Millennials”.
 STRATEGY Field
- Select a brand and create a marketing plan.
- Theme: Plan an innovative product and set up a communication plan for the target audience of millennials.

 CREATIVE Field
- Select a brand and create video or image based content.
- Theme: The content shall focus on advertising a brand or a product to millennials.

 Brand: Laneige/Mamonde/Mise-en-Scène/Verité/Aritaum/IOPE/Etude House/Innisfree/Primera/Happy Bath
* Each applicant can submit only one application, either in the STRATEGY or CREATIVE field and for 1 brand.

 Eligibility and schedule
1. * Eligibility
- Any student of a local and overseas 4-year college/university or graduate school, including those who are on a leave of absence, can apply as an individual or a team of up to 3 members.
※ Students who are also working for a commercial company or those planning to transfer to a 4-year school after graduating from a 2-year school cannot apply.
※ The applicant must agree to collection of private information by us, otherwise they will not be accepted to the Brand Challenge.

2. Timeline and procedure
- Orientation (April 25th)
- Application for preliminaries (April 26th ~ May 16th)
: 20% of all applicants will go to the main competition.
- Application for main competition (May 31st ~ June 28th)
: 5 teams for finals and 5 teams for Commendation Prize will be selected.
※ Competitors in the main competition of CREATIVE Field will also be judged online.
- Challenge Class (3rd week of June)
- Final PT/Award Ceremony(July 27th)
: 1 team for Top prize, 1 team for Excellence prize, 3 teams for Special Participation Prizeand 5 teams for Commendation Prizewill be awarded (total of 20 teams).
- Internship (August)

Main competition: Less than 20MB
* Files bigger than these sizes may not be accepted. Less than 30MB for preliminaries,
Less than 70MB (compressed) for main competition
* Files bigger than these sizes may not be accepted.

• Top prize: 2 teams (1 team per field)
- Cash prize of KRW 10 million
- Will be provided with internship of Brand Challenge Summer

• Excellence prize: 2 teams (1 team per field)
- Cash prize of KRW 5 million
- Will be provided with internship of Brand Challenge Summer

• Special Participation Prize: 6 teams (3 teams per field)
- Cash prize of KRW 2 million
- Advantages if winner applies for a position at Amore Pacific, Etude House or Innisfree 【Exempt from resume screening】
• Commendation Prize: 10 teams (5 team per field)
- Additional prize: Cosmetics set

※ The Brand Challenge Summer Internship and advantages for job application shall be limited to applicants to Amore Pacific, Etude House or Innisfree.

Please refer to notices of application for this contest or contact the Brand Challenge administration office for other details.

2. Judgment criteria

[STRATEGY Field]
Creativity: Whether the strategy (idea) offers not just distinct differentiation but also commonly acceptable (universal) features
(novelty, uniqueness, interest + universality)
Logic: Whether the strategy is based on logical and consistent grounds
Feasibility: Whether the strategy can be actually implemented by the brand/company

[CREATIVE Field]
Creativity: Whether the strategy (idea) offers not just distinct differentiation but also commonly acceptable (universal) features
(novelty, uniqueness, interest + universality)
Suitability: Whether the application expresses the brand/corporate identity suitably and sufficiently
Applicability: Whether the application can be actually utilized by the brand/company

* Criteria for competitors in the main competition of CREATIVE Field include online score on the Instagram channel of the Brand Challenge.
(Online score: 30%, Score by marketing professionals: 70%)

※ Judges
- Preliminaries and Main competition: Marketing managers from Amore Pacific, Etude House and Innisfree
- Final PT: Executives from Amore Pacific, Etude House and Innisfree


 Notes

1. Regarding application
- An individual can make the application or be a member of a team so that the team can make the application as a group.
- Foreigners can also make the application and the files including those for the final PT can be created and made in English.

2. Regarding awards
• [STRATEGY Field]: From the 10 teams in the main competition, 5 teams for finals and 5 teams for Good Work prize will be selected.
• [CREATIVE Field] From the 10 teams from the main competition, 5 teams for finals and 5 teams for Good Work prize will be selected. Standings of the 5 finalists will be judged at the site based on the quality of the PT.
• [Common] Number of winners may vary depending on quality of files. (For example, there may be no winner of the top prize if judges deem so.)
• [Common] Each winner shall be subject to relevant tax for the cash prize.

3. - Brand Challenge Summer Internship
The Brand Challenge Summer Internship does not guarantee promotion to a full time position and will be provided to anyone regardless of nationality if they meet the requirements of the internship.
Requirements for Brand Challenge Summer Internship

GPA Average grade of more than 3.0 (based on full grade of 4.5)
Linguistic capability Higher than 700 on TOEIC • This will be exempt for a student (graduate) of a college/university located in regions where English is the mother tongue.
• A TOEIC score certificate issued within 2 years shall be valid.
• A score of publicly acknowledged written English tests such as TEPS and TOEFL may be accepted.
This will be exemption for an applicant with a score of publicly acknowledged written test of the second foreign language test.

4. [Regarding advantages for job application]
- Advantages for job application will be applied to one applicant to one of Amore Pacific, Etude House and Innisfree, with no deadline.
- Exemption from resume screening will be applied to winners meeting requirements of job application to Amore Pacific, Etude House or Innisfree,
- Exemption from the first interview will be applied to applicants passing the aptitude test. This exemption will be annulled if the applicant fails the aptitude test (Exemption from resume - Passing aptitude test - Exemption from 1st interview).

Eligibility of advantages for job application

Applicants A graduate of a 4-year college (graduate school) or a student to graduate from such college after next semester.
Requirements Those with no disqualification in terms of physical conditions or traveling outside of Korea For male applicants, those who completed or are exempt from military service
Linguistic capability 1. Verbal English test score certificate (OPIC, TOEIC SPEAKING)
* No score restrictions • Both are required for English.
• This will be exempt for a student (graduate) of a college/university located in regions where English is the mother tongue.
Only a score certificate of OPIC or TOEIC SPEAKING issued within 2 years shall be valid.
• A score of publicly acknowledged written English tests such as TEPS and TOEFL may be accepted.
* This will be exempt for an applicant who attends a college/university outside of Korea or is capable of speaking a second foreign language with similar fluency.
※ A foreign applicant and winner of the main competition shall check with the HR team if they wish to make a job application as the hiring process varies per the region where they want to work, causing some differences of advantages to be applied.


5. Miscellaneous
• Basically the applicant owns the copyright for the file. All works will be treated as confidential but may be disclosed to a third party for reviewing, judging or selecting a winner. Basically all works will be discarded within one month from the date of the awards ceremony. AMOREPACIFIC and its affiliates, however, may utilize the files of the winners of Brand Challenge for three years from the date of the awards ceremony. Please refer to the agreement for the utilization of application files for details.
• The applicant shall take any legal liability regarding the submitted application, and the award will be annulled if the file is proven to infringe upon the copyright of a third party or plagiarize the work of a third party. All cash and prizes will have to be returned in this case.
